Artist's Comments

Well the new model is nearly complete. Had a few holidays that cut off class days, and had some setbacks when trying to pose the model which wasted hours and hours @.@ (kept freezing the program for some reason when I tried to transpose the subtools).

BUUUT, that aside I'm extatic at being able to create to rather high quality models that I've gotten a ton of good feed back on from other forums as well as from friends and classmates I've shared the piece with.

Hopefully this is the start of me getting my first real step into the gaming industry, cross your fingers for me ^ ^

As always, constructive crit is more than welcome as it helps me grow as an artist.

I'm sure at the rate you're going you'll do fine in the gaming industry. But probably only for the character modeling portion. Unless you learn how to script and animate without any glitches in the skeleton. If you can do that and make a ragdoll that works, I say you're a win-win for any company looking for people.

Yeah, I just need to brush up on my rigging skills. The polygons though should be fine for animating once rigged as I went over it and re-did the topagraphy by hand.
Despite that, if I did get into the field animating is generally separated from modeling anyways, I just want to learn both to beef up my portfolio.
I can do basic animation in max, just need to get the advanced lessons started.

Thanks for the encouraging words.

Just keep on working on your skills, that's all you need to do. You seem to be a natural at the rest.
